WESLEY COOTE

Managing Director & Group CEO

Wes is the former Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Greencross Ltd.

Prior to Greencross, Wes worked in Chartered Accounting where he provided businesses advice within the health sector, property sector and financial services industry.

Wes holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as a member of the Governance Institute of Australia.

Wes joined My FootDr in December 2015 to assist with the growth aspirations of the group.

DAMIEN PETERS

Group Chief Financial Officer

Damien has over 25 years’ experience in corporate accounting and working in multi-disciplinary and high growth merger and acquisition companies including previous experience as a CFO and Company Secretary of a number of ASX-listed entities.

Damien brings experience from being the CFO, Chief Operating Officer and Company Secretary of Queensland Rugby Union.

JULIA MURFITT

General Counsel & Company Secretary

Julia is a qualified and practicing solicitor with over 13 years’ experience across Australia and New Zealand.

Ms Murfitt joined Healthia as General Counsel in August 2020 and has been instrumental in Healthia’s growth since this time.

Julia holds an LLB from Victoria University of Wellington and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in February 2009. Since relocating to Australia,  Julia was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in February 2012 and admitted to the High Court of Australia in July 2012

COLIN KANGISSER

CEO – Eyes & Ears

Colin is a registered optometrist with over 30 years optical experience. He founded, grew and exited multiple retail chains including Optic Express and Kays Optical prior to holding executive leadership positions with the OPSM Group and founding TOC in 2005.

LISA ROACH

Group Chief Partnerships Officer & Executive Director

Lisa has over 25 years of experience in the physiotherapy private practice sector. Lisa joined Allsports Physiotherapy in its year of inception in 1992. She is a founding partner in several of the Allsports clinics throughout Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. After spending 10 years in a clinical physiotherapy position Lisa moved to take on the growing full-time role of business management and to oversee the evolving strategic development for the Allsports group.

In addition to the management of daily clinical operations, Lisa has been responsible for the development of new initiatives for the group including complementary allied health services, university partnerships, education, teaching, and mentoring in private practice.

DEAN HARTLEY

CTO – Chief Technology Officer

Dean has over 15 years’ experience as a Podiatrist and was a founder of Balance Podiatry & iOrthotics with a strong background in multi-site clinical management and business development.

Dean has always had a strong focus on utilising technology to improve the delivery of healthcare services and in his previous role of Chief Technology Officer, Dean was responsible for the technology roadmap within Healthia and developing Healthia’s internal software applications team. Dean was also integral in the development of iOrthotics and implementing 3D printing technology to innovate the orthotics industry. iOrthotics now boasts to be one of the only orthotic laboratories in the world producing 3D printed orthotics with manufacturing sites in Brisbane and New York.

In 2021 Dean moved to his current role of CEO – Bodies, Minds, Feet and Ankles.

AARON KANGISSER

Chief Operating Officer – Eyes & Ears Division

Aaron brings local and international management experience across optical retail and professional services, supply chain and more. Aaron has spent almost 20 years in the optometry industry with The Optical Company (now part of Healthia Limited) and Boots Opticians in the United Kingdom.

This experience and track record provides Aaron with insight into the successful strategy, execution and leadership required for a dynamic and growth driven allied health group.

Aaron holds a double degree with Bachelors of Commerce and Law and is a member of the Healthia Executive Team.

TONY GANTER

Group Chief Business Development & Strategy Officer

Tony has over 25 years experience in the management and operation of private physiotherapy and sports medicine clinics and high performance medical teams in professional sport. He possesses knowledge of the professional, administrative and management skills required to operate physiotherapy and sports medicine centres.

Tony remains active as a treating physiotherapist which enables him to keep in touch with the challenges of both professional health care and clinic ownership. He has a strong commitment to the ongoing creation of varied career journeys for physiotherapists.

ROY WALKER

Divisional CEO - Bodies, Minds, Feet & Ankles

Roy brings 15 years of experience and achievements in senior leadership roles within the merger and acquisition arena. During his time in these roles, Roy has led several well-renown businesses though consolidating, scaling and sale both in listed and private equity environments. Since relocating his family from the UK to the beautiful Gold Coast, Roy’s drive and passion to develop and build on high-performing teams has been evident in the cultures created that inspire innovation, drive change, raising performance through engaged, informed and purposeful leadership.

DR. KERRIE EVANS

Group Chief Education & Research Officer

Dr. Evans is a well-respected educator and Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists). She is currently a part-time Senior Research Fellow at The University of Sydney and previously spent 18 years at Griffith University as a Senior Lecturer and was the Director of the post-graduate Masters of Musculoskeletal and Sports Physiotherapy program. Her research has focussed on clinically-relevant research, specifically in the area of spinal pain.

Dr. Evans brings to this position her comprehensive leadership experience, deep knowledge of professional education, development and training, and a forward-looking perspective in relation to research.
