My FootDr CEO to help raise funds to fight hunger and homelessness

Allsports Physiotherapy Becomes QRU’s Newest Commercial Partner

My FootDr CEO Darren Stewart will be teaming up with over 200 business leaders from across the country to raise money for leading food rescue charity, OzHarvest. The Cookoff helps to support vulnerable Australians and raise awareness about food security, homelessness and food waste.

Darren, along with the country’s top CEOs and their peers will be swapping their high-powered meetings for a high-pressure kitchen as they join some of Australia’s favourite chefs at OzHarvest’s CEO CookOff in Sydney on Monday 19th March 2018.

“I’m proud to join other like-minded professionals and favourite chefs to support OzHarvest’s mission to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable people across Australia,” said Mr Stewart.

“I’ve been practising my cooking skills on our support office team and am confident I can adapt my BBQ skills to the high-pressure kitchen. Plus, my three children think my cooking isn’t bad, but this will be the ultimate test”.

In addition to Darren’s participation, My FootDr podiatry clinics will be ‘going yellow’ on Friday, March 9th to help raise awareness and funds for Ozharvest.

“Every day OzHarvest collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it, direct and free of charge, to 1000 charities providing much-needed assistance to vulnerable men, women and children,” said Mr Stewart.

“Every $1 raised will help OzHarvest provide two meals for less fortunate Australians.”

Last year the event raised an incredible $1.7 million nationally, allowing the group to deliver more than 3,400,000 million meals to those who need it most. The 2018 CEO CookOff will be even bigger and better with a goal of 4 million meals!
